I took a new job in order to move across the country for my husband's promotion and I hate my new job. The role sold to me by the recruiter and company leadership is not at all what I am actually doing. I am so overworked it's unreal. At first I thought that maybe I just sucked, even though I'm a seasoned sales professional with 11 years experience, but then I found out that I have 227 accounts vs the 35 & 64 that my counterparts have. Do I go over my boss's head and discuss with leadership?
What are some signs that it’s time to move on to a new job/ career path? I’m not looking at promotion for realistically another 2 years, same timing for pay raise. On a long term project so I’m locked in for another 2 years at least doing the same thing so not learning nearly like I was when first joining consulting. I’m starting to lose sight of my overall goals and what’s the point of doing all this. Please help!
Do you guys feel like it’s a good time to be a Black woman professionally? I feel like if I wanted to raise money for my idea, now is the time. Im scared to miss this moment but I’m not ready.
Why do we complain sooooo much. Is that a generation thing (ie our generation complains more?) Did our parents raise us weird? How can we change this mindset because it’s really been weighing on me every where every ones always complaining: friends, coworkers, family, people on tv, Twitter, Fishbowl, tiktok
Just got a fast tracked promotion and raise!!! Feeling very appreciated and seen. Consulting isn’t all that bad
I just had my first annual performance review meeting with my manager this past Friday. She had nothing but good things to say about my work, effort etc. thus far. After that she indicated a raise of a little less than 3%. Is this something I can counter? Should companies be giving raises that are at least at the percentage of the inflation rate (Being ~ 6% this year)? I appreciate any feedback!
One 5% raise in 2.5 years at analyst/senior analyst level. Have received account support for promotion twice but “timing” or “pandemic” stopped me. Should I leave or wait until the promotion to consultant finally happens?
Do you use all of your sick time? Does your sick time roll over? I looked at my absence balances, and I’ve hardly used any sick time. (Honestly because it’s usually more work to take a sick day.)
For those at firms other than PwC, do you guys feel ready to be promoted to senior after only 2 years? I’m a third year at PwC up for promotion but I still don’t know if I feel ready. Just curious
Is senior promotion automatic in big 4? How do you not get promoted to senior? Do you have to be really bad not to get promoted to senior?
Why am I the only one wearing a mask through the airport. Isn't anyone else scared? I feel stupid being the only one but I don't wanna get sick. Wish more people would do it so it be normal.
How long is it typical to be an AE before getting a promotion or becoming an Account Supervisor or Senior AE?
New to options trading, been following this bowl a while and trying to get educated with courses on options alpha and TD Ameritrade. How many of yall are able to make consistent extra income from options trading? I’m not expecting BC wins but was hoping after some practice for a little side income to make the no raise year a little less painful. Just wondering if it’s more of a gamble then anything except for the exceptional few...
I never thought being a mom would be this difficult. I am working full time, have an infant who wakes up every 3-4h and doesn't fall back asleep unless held in arms, am breastfeeding for medical reasons, and feel resentful and beyond tired all the time. I hate the fact that my body is so different to how it was before, that I don't have a sense of self any more, that I can't disconnect and take a break (and this is likely to not change for years to come). Is this normal or unfit to be a mom?
I know someone who is on medical leave but they’re not really sick. Should I report them or mind my business?
Hi Fishes, How long it takes to get promoted to 7B from 7A. It can depend upon the performance, but usually what's the average time? And how much hike can you expect at promotion?
Does your firm give out raises when you get promoted? Just found out mine only gives out raises as part of the annual appraisal process. So if you get promoted in Jan, you won’t get a raise until Oct.
What's the minimum salary you'd be comfortable living in NYC? Those who live there, are you financially comfortable with what you make? Considering a move. Thanks.

Have any of you become desensitized to $$? I feel like nothing under $100 really registers or a 300-500 expense is what spending $75 used to feel like. I don’t make crazy money (130K) and still save fine but could be better. Is this just getting older? How to ground myself?
How are the Google case study questions for interviews? Have an interview coming with them. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you :)
I’m at a Marriott post Starwood acquisition and noticed that they’ve adopted “Make a Green Choice” for 500 points. Given the 1:3 conversion of MR:SPG, shouldn’t they be giving 1500 points?
Hi, I have a 1st round interview coming up for an associate position at L.E.K. Consulting and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into the interview? I believe it will be 2 cases, 30 min strategy and 30 min quant. Have been doing some case prep over past few months, but nothing too in depth or LEK specific. Kind of nervous - never done a case interview and feel a little underprepared
I don’t think I have enough saved (80-100k) to justify a financial advisor. But I also was never taught/learned about money management and planning. Are there any good resources or books in which I could learn about how to invest in my retirement?
Rollover old firm 401k/wealth builder into current employer 401k or new rollover IRA? Pros and cons? Thank you for thoughts!

To the PwC newbie at LAX: don't wear your suit on a redeye. Change when you arrive so you don't look like a hobo. And take the onboarding nametag off your laptop case. Actually just buy a new bag.

Hi- I was curious to know if receiving 221(g) on approved H1B change of status applications is common. I’m previously an F1 and switched over to H1B recently. I have my appointment upcoming and was curious about the commonality of the occurrence.
