yes, several years ago i did a fixed fee project with a small bank. I budgeted 5 - 6 hrs a week - ended up working waaaay more than that. be realistic about how much time you really have to commit and LOE. it wasn’t worth it for me.
Thanks! Some additional income until I get my finances in order would help me a lot so it’d likely be worth it for me but I’m keeping this in mind.
You could always get a better paying job and move to the next level and then invest your money If you have expertise in a specific space you could always blog and build your credibility if you aren’t already doing that.
Pretty young. Got some medical debt thats hurting my finances so I need to pay it off.
Mate of mine spent a couple of years building up a fulfilment by Amazon business (did the whole thing so chose products, found supplier in China, spent decent money on advertising, did all the customer service himself etc - a few hours a day for a couple of years) and just sold it for a life-changing amount.
He did say Amazon is brutal on seller side - account can get taken down with no notice and nonsense (if any) reasons; sellers try to sabotage each other; several products tanked completely in the beginning. But he got there in the end.
High margin, $30-50 an hour if your processes are efficient. Not as profitable as an MBB gig but not bad for a side gig that doesn’t require technical skills
Cut and sell firewood. Or invest in me and I’ll come up with a profit sharing system. I have my eye on a $10,000 commercial splitter that will massively increase my production rate. I already own the land and trees, chainsaw, tractor, and trailer. Super fun hobby, keeps me active, play with heavy duty toys, and make some extra money.
C2 I’m super curious- sounds interesting. Can I DM?
