I’m sorry you are dealing with this. I would go above your PM to your director or partner or HR. I would also speak to your family doctor - there are instances where short term disability might be appropriate.

Do they still sponsor us for One Medical? If so, do you happen to have the sponsorship code? Thanks a lot

We have unlimited sick time. Please take some time!

It’s 10 days. Can they let me go if I provide a doctors note? :(

It sounds like you’ve got a lot on your plate and one way is to reduce your workload as the others have suggested, and another is to also get some help with looking after your child so that you have some alone time to recharge? I also have a young child and know how demanding and tiring it can be just looking after a child let alone juggle work and all this on top of that. Hope things get better for you soon!

I will just say that it is no secret that working moms are getting the real short end of the stick regarding childcare and covid. Experts anticipate that women will fall behind in their careers or leave the workforce altogether. If you enjoy working (and health insurance), see if you can get on a reduced work schedule, even if it is short-term. You keep your health insurance as long as you are at 50 percent. It gives you license to set boundaries (you are not getting paid to work more than 20 hours/week) and it keeps you in the workforce until things improve.

*ctd: I was hoping to give it a try and see if they will fulfill their promise in August but I feel like the longer I push, the more it becomes unsustainable. I’ve been trying counseling, magnesium... nothing sees to work. The job marked is awful as well and I am the one providing health insurance for my baby. I am really lost and I don’t want to end up in a worse physical / mental situation :(

Are there other issues? What does your husband do for work? Is he supportive?

Has very supportive. He owns a business

Thanks all. I think that I am done, this has been affecting me so much to include my family as well. I don’t see any other resolution given that the options suggested by leadership and HR are very limited.

For those of you who are in-house, how did you get comfortable with needing to be more of a generalist? I know some in-house roles, especially at large companies, are specialized. However, even then it just seems like you’re expected to know about so many different areas (with far less support than at a firm). I’m tired of billable hours, but I really love (& feel more comfortable) being a specialist.
