We did the sleep training plan with our kids. Oldest was just five months when I sat outside her room listening to her cry for 40 min. The next day it was 25 min then she was able to put herself to sleep. Literally took less than a week. By the time she was six months she slept from 6p to 6a. Did the same with next daughter. Same deal. Don’t know if this is at all relatable and am not meaning to minimize how hard these baby years are. Teens are easier so far.

Our first one woke up every 2 hrs on the dot just like yours OP. Could not get her to sleep through the night until 2yrs old, the frequency of waking up reduced by qtr. she has a tiny tummy, drank small quantities and now eats small quantities/more frequently. Second baby slept through the night by 5 months. She is a robust eater and loves her sleep. Every baby is different, it’s trial and error to figure out what works with yours.

Ours is also a snacker! 😩

There’s a moms bowl that will have more advice for you!

My babe is 3 months. No advice but I fear we are almost there. Stay strong mama!

4 months? Sleep train

She’s unfortunately not at the proper weight to begin sleep training

We are at 33 weeks and baby is measuring on the smaller side (17th percentile overall). The stomach is measuring at 8th percentile and wife’s fluids are “on the lower side of normal”, both of which are a bit concerning. The baby is also breached, which may be causing inaccurate measurements. Saw the high risk doctor today who wants to do weekly growth monitoring. Anyone experience something similar? Would appreciate any insights!

So I’m pregnant and going to get an abortion (any pregnancy for me is incredibly high risk - 25+% chance I wouldn’t survive - not that any other reason for an abortion is invalid either). I’m not sure if I should tell the guy I am hooking up with. I feel like he should know. That being said I don’t need to send him down a spiral. His ex of 4 years had a late term abortion without telling him and told him when he found her in bed with his really good friend. He’s finally improving psychologically

How do you divide your time between your kids? My second is an extra needy and demanding, high spirited kid. My first is laidback and easy going. I always feel like the eldest gets the short end of the stick and never gets enough of my attention even tho she’s always been more attached to me than my husband. She never gets one-on-one time with me as it is since her sister (now 2) is still super glued to my side. Any suggestions for juggling this? Or to ease the mom guilt?

I have a new babysitter/mother’s helper. she is a college student and i’m trying to figure out what to tell her to do when baby naps (often for two hours). she has a long break in between but my day with her lacks structure , so basically she is watching my child and they play the whole day. I will start asking her to prepare meals for him but trying to figure out how to go about this. i’m so un domesticated.

With school starting up again and Covid cases surging, how is your school handling it? Are you starting remote or in-person? Are teachers in your school calling out sick in large numbers? Found out this week an old friend is now having a kid. This person is a good human but for a variety of reasons, they aren’t so great when it comes to anything romantic with the opposite sex (myself, mutual friends, etc). They managed to get pregnant with someone lives across the country from their old neighborhood. Instead of being happy for them, I hate that the only thing I can think is this will always come to mind taking safe sex precautions knowing that it was definitely unplanned.

Looking for baby moon recommendations for early March. Obviously Covid is an issue, but hoping it’ll be better by then (at least this omicron wave may be over) somewhere warm, and not too far of a flight from DC area, tho if it’s affordable we are willing to fly. Trying to stay in the states since pregnant. Any reccs? I’ll be about 20 weeks pregnant. I know it’s early but it’s the only time we’ll be able to take before the baby comes.

I got sick with what I at first thought was stomach bug last Sunday (vomiting, fatigue, then crazy chills and body aches). Lasted 1 day. My nose was also a bit congested, so went to get a pcr on Monday and got a positive result. Tested again at 2 diff places on Wed - 2 negatives. All pcr. Had no symptoms since Sunday. Has anyone had something similar happen to them? Was it just false positive (everyone’s been saying that almost never happens), or just super mild case of Covid?
