Also try a resume keyword scanner.

Keep in mind humans do not read resumes. The first pass is always a computer trying to determine if you have enough in common with the job description to schedule a screening call. After the screening call, if you get passed on to a hiring manager - then maybe someone might glance at your resume for 3 minutes.

I hired a resume writer off Fiverr. Definitely turned around impressive work. Worth a shot.

Second this, I used a freelancer on Upwork and really liked the end result

Wow I’m looking to get into a federal job and was considering social security. Nonetheless I agree with the other person a resume writer may help I have a friend who used one and she landed a 6 figure position.

I work at social security too. It’s been 2 years I’m over it.

Can you post it here and we can help with it?

If you post it here we can help you edit it. A few tweaks might be all you need to start getting offers. We would be happy to help you.

For those who have obtained the CFF certification:
I was asked to put together a working plan to obtain my CFF credential. I’m aware of the 2 certificate program (Core and Specialized) through the AICPA that will lead to the CFF. Does anyone have experience in how long it would take to complete the certificates and if there are other necessary or helpful study materials that would be useful? For background, I’m 6 months into working at this firm and have touched a variety of cases.

Hot take, for those who received a stimulus based on FY19 or FY18 returns why doesn’t the government make people pay it back in the FY20 return if they don’t qualify based on the actual tax year stimulus was for? I understand why they couldn’t wait but IrS knows who received it so it isn’t hard to implement. Could have used the anticipated saving coming back to fund more stimulus for those who truly needed it.

I’ve been reading more and more in other financial forums about people refinancing into interest-only mortgages as a means of maximizing cash available for investment. Help me understand the argument for doing this? I’m starting to see it could make a lot of sense for people who 1) have a ton of equity and aren’t worried about the housing market flinching, 2) probably won’t keep their house forever, and 3) already have a high net worth. Thoughts?

Interviewed for 5.5 hours today at a boutique IB today. Base comp is a slight bump. 14 mos in FDD @ PwC who will make senior this CRT - love the role but want to see more of the transaction besides TBs and TB detail. Comp isn’t a huge bump but the IB seems to have a good culture. 20 people. I really am struggling. I worried about FDD golden handcuffs with limited exit ops. Please advise!!! How should I navigate this and assess it from an unbiased perspective. Thx!

is anyone familiar with pay differentials, negotiating for a temporary raise, or some other compensation for extra work? 3 coworkers on my team have recently resigned, and certain shifts are being expected to work at half staff until new hires can be brought on. if my workload is being doubled, i expect to be compensated, as they are paying one employee to do the work of two. any suggestions on wording for how to address this?

Feeling stagnant. Joined my agency in 2011, promoted once in 2013. Been at the same pay band for the last 9 years. Made a lateral move to a team with a supportive manager and helpful staff. I have learned how to conquer more complex tasks. It's review time. In addition to listing my achievements and their impact, I stated that my goal is to be promoted to the next pay band. If it doesn't happen this time, I am ready to leave. More of a vent I guess but I am feeling excited about what could be.
