Every business looks out for themselves, it's their bottom line so look out for your ownself. If another opportunity can lead to greater gain in growth, money, happiness, etc, why not? It's no one else's business.
Why do you want to leave already? It’s hard to give advice without knowing more. Is it enticing because of salary? Client? Teammates?
You’ll obviously be burning a bridge to leave so quickly so I’d think carefully about if it’s worth doing that.
Where are you gonna learn the most? Have the most supportive team? That stuff is important when you’ve just made a pivot. Sometimes the most enticing accounts are chaotic as hell.
Don’t put in your notice until an offer is in hand!
You don’t have the job yet, so I wouldn’t worry about how it will look at this point. It doesn’t hurt to talk to someone. If you end up with an offer and you decide to leave, tell them you “got an offer you can’t refuse”. Happens all the time.
The AOR account may be brutal to boxing you in as a PM on certain types of accounts. For example, Healthcare or Finance/Banking, you’ll find yourself seeing better money in the short term for that expertise in managing an industry and in 5 years you’ll be burnt out and too close to one industry. In the early stages of PM, work as many types of clients as possible
Do it. I regret not taking the offer when I was a PC. If it seems more interesting, you’ll enjoy it more and make better work.
