I need out of M&A. I like the people, I like the work, I even like most of the clients, but my health can’t take the fire drills. Currently on on a day where I literally got back from A&E and I’m probably going to work overnight on a closing (and no, it’s neither the partners’ nor clients’ fault, this is government dictated). We have resource but nobody with enough deal knowledge so it’s two people trying to get everything out while two first years wait on our instructions but can’t do much.

When does the imposter syndrome end? Practicing two years and still feel like I can’t do anything right. My mental health is really suffering.

I looked down at my boobs yesterday and they were wrinkly and old and I’m only in my 30’s. It took my aging cleavage for me to realize that this is what the stress of advertising does to you...it sucks the life out of you, it ages you. And it robs you of so much more than an a nice pair of tits. It steals you away from your loved ones during the times that matter, your health, and your self-compassion. And this is when I realized I have to quit this Industry.

Has anyone taken advantage of borrowing against the cash value of a life insurance policy to pay for a house? Supposedly it's like getting free money to pay it down from year 16 to year 30 of the mortgage. Talked to a financial advisor and it sounds too good to be true so I am scared to start buying a life insurance policy to tie up my cash.

What is a fair/competitive salary for a therapy (PT/OT/SLP) supervisor position for a large, non-profit healthcare system in Des Moines, IA? Job post says 80-120k. I have 5 years experience as a therapist. Curious if it is reasonable to expect to make “top of scale” pay (~90-95k) for a staff PT/OT/SLP as a supervisor?

Renters/homeowners/earthquake insurance ?: I’m reviewing my renewal policy docs for my renters and earthquake policies (im in Los Angeles). I’m 32F 🐠 single no kids. I’ve reached ACD level and just come to realize I don’t think this is for me. I’ve struggled to force feed myself media and always trying to keep up with the latest content. Have worked on mental health the last few months and most of the activities I enjoy feel removed from this. But at this point have invested so many years (30s here).
