Wow this is kinda crazy, get ready to take some heat for this. Tell them ASAP
Let them know now and move on. Best of luck in the newest offer. Life is too short to pass up opportunities. I wish someone would have told me this when I was younger lol
Tell them now, they will probably roll you off immediately though- there’s no need for 2 weeks of notice if you haven’t even had the chance to onboard yet
Tell them now. Take the extra time off.
I've seen this happen before. Someone on my team who just joined the firm...2 weeks later he was gone. Do what's best for you but don't expect the opportunity to ever come back to your current employer.
Tell them asap and honestly there is no loyalty in companies anymore so don’t feel guilty about it. You aren’t even burning a bridge if you already crossed it with a new job. Good luck with the new gig.
In the end you have to do what's best for you. Jobs have no loyalty to people so I never understand why people feel away about being transparent with companies. Maybe it's the millennial thing lol. Only you know what's a better fit so tell them and move on.
Agreed tell them now but expect to never work at this shop again
100% will get heat for this. HR will be livid
I'm in the same boat. I started my job last week but I'm in the final rounds for a job that I will definitely take if I receive the offer... I feel horrible coming to work and putting on this face in case I leave them
Something similar happened to an acquaintance of mine. They accepted a job offer after accepting a new one and didn’t tell them about it. Basically ended up with no job for being shady.
Just leave now, at least you won’t waste people’s time training you for the next 2 weeks.
