I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

The $2000 bump looks like it was compensation for taking on more tasks that are outside of the scope of your job description.
even if that did represent your salary increase for the year ,the year was not complete for them to really assess your contribution. I would go back to them and at least mention all of this and that your concern was you took on more work essentially for less pay since the $2000 was more to cover increased standard of living.
Technically they would also owe you from the moment they gave you the 2000 to the end of the year the weighted increase they did not consider in the $ 2000.
Hope that is clear. The math is not working out here so you definitely have caused to go to them and ask for justification.

I would at least ask. While I understand the $2000 bump, that was for the additional tasks you're taking on not your regular yearly bump. I would at least bring it up and see what they're thinking.
