Guys, please help me with my in hand salary
KPMG I cleared all the rounds of my interview with KPMG and was asked to provide necessary documents and fill a CAF form a week back and had a HR discussion too. I have requested for about 3Lakhs additional fixed pay since my current CTC has increased and HR said she will get back on this. It's been a week and haven't heard back on the offer letter. How long do you think I should wait. Please wait.

The biggest thing I’ve learnt in the last few years is to fail fast… if you’re not getting what you deserve from your current role - then move to a new company. Sometimes if things are too difficult they’re not meant to be! I would suggest meeting with some recruiters - let them know what you’ve been doing and what you’re aiming for - then reframe your CV
If your manger is not going to advocate for you, you need to. It’s sadly the only way to move up other than going to a new company. If the person above your manager is the CEO than that’s who you talk to. It will be awkward NGL but what’s worse, not knowing what could of been and becoming resentful or shooting your shot and potentially getting the job you want?
Please talk to your skip level even if its the CEO as i have experienced this and i did not approach which leaves me with a thought that I should have discussed or taken guidance at that time from someone
I would also start looking for new jobs. You don’t have to be 💯 committed to leaving, but see what else is out there, how much more you could be making, and interview just for practice.
If you like your field, stick with it. You never know how much you grow and roles will open up. Keep trying, and never stop advocating for yourself!
Are you close to someone at the company who is not your direct manager and not the CEO to ask for honest feedback on this? If so I think this should be your next step. If not, go ahead, talk to the CEO, and approach it with an open mind - ask for help, and be ready to hear feedback you don't expect. Don't go into that conversation to "air grievances" against your manager.
If your manager is the only step between you and the CEO the company is very small, and it's really unlikely that the CEO doesn't know what's happening with the new role and the hiring process for it. In fact they've either suggested or approved this course of action.
Oof. You may be right. Good advice.
1) Should I meet with the CEO since my manager is holding me back?
2) If so, how do I even start that conversation without putting myself in an awkward position?
1. Yes, I would meet with the CEO (especially if you are considering leaving if you are being held back)
2. What’s your relationship like with your manager? If it’s solid, I’d tell the manager you were planning to have a skip level to discuss it.
At a previous company I got a new job within the same department and tried to negotiate pay with my manager. He said leadership didn’t negotiate, so I told him I was going to go directly to them to negotiate (obviously he wasn’t comfortable). He told me to go ahead, and was shocked when they gave me my ask.
