I joined a midsize company this 31st Oct. Now they are asking me to sign an agreement of 6months with the client. Am worried right now and have a different offer in pipeline (offer letter coming in 2days). Am thinking of leaving this organisation and join the other one even if they're offering less CTC.

Please advise if absconding in such manner will affect my career. Is there any consequence if I leave right now?

Worth it to make the jump to PE at associate level? Late 20s and about to be a second year IB Associate. All in comp will be higher in IB vs PE role. I also hate being available around the clock / lack of visibility into future for scheduling etc. In the interview process with a few LMM. For those on the other side what would you do in my place? Have others found it hard to transition from Audit to Financial Analyst? All the recruiters I’m meeting with are telling me I probably won’t get an interview since they’re looking for someone who’s ready to hit the ground running.
It’s discouraging because I’m a fast learner, and from talking to my friends who are Financial Analysts, it doesn’t seem like what we do is so dissimilar.

Been in audit for a year now and really don’t like it. Find is so boring and brain rotting. I know audit and PA in general is definitely not for me. I’m not totally sure what I want to do next, maybe something in industry or financial analyst. Is leaving after a year too soon? Am I better sticking it out one more busy season?

My wife failed a tenancy referencing on the grounds of employment and pay because she is on mat leave. We have more than sufficient savings to cover rent for the whole year and yet she failed and the reason they stated is ‘we are not sure she will return back to work after X month’. Isn’t that discriminatory in nature and worth a legal fight? Worth adding she is getting full pay for 6 months, goes back to work after 8 months and the 7/8 month pay is only statutory of £650.
