So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

You should have made him just as uncomfortable by asking exactly what u were wearing that was a problem.
He does have input into the performance. In fact he was so eager to give his feedback and write a long one for me. Quite balanced review but obviously not positive. He couldn't say much about my performance but attacked me on my personality, style etc. I was just upset that all those talks about 50/50 gender and all that crap but deal with this stuff and mentality!! I find SM level is so difficult for women because it's only a few people who are pulling you up but rest are pushing you down. I just don't fit into the club which is fine but this BS is beyond me. Bothers me that I work with people who think and say openly that society has double standards!!

Keep in mind how the evaluation process works - how much weight does he carry in the talent discussion? If it’s a lot, and your rating matters (I personally don’t care about my rating), then your plan of action will be different than if his comments are out of phase with the other feedback you get.
I’m sorry to hear that! You can always talk to your HR rep if it makes you uncomfortable to work with/for him.
I ignore such BS and him. Although, he takes away almost all the opportunities from me and I simply avoid him too.

Do you have a CC that you trust? If yes talk to them. Anybody else that knows you and this person that can weigh in as a counterbalance to him? He’s one voice - you need to Marshall some forces on your side.
Agree OP pointless to talk to HR unless it is bad enough to warrant a complaint.

Would love to see him put this in writing. In my opinion, unless men are willing to put these comments in writing, they should keep them to themselves. Guess that's idealistic.
