Post covid doesn’t the thought of the mon-thu travel, at the beck and call of clients and firms doing nothing earth shattering or mind blowing or uplifting in particular - make you wonder why the heck did we ever do that? It seems so servile and unnecessary. And so many risks to our mental and physical health and well being along with the impact to our relationships and emotional makeup…loss of cherished moments with family…keep on smh

Amex corporate green card or CSR? I’m not seeing many benefits to the Amex and I’m wondering whether I should just stop paying the annual fee and apply for CSR instead and get reimbursed for business expenses from that card. Considering I can only put business reimbursable expenses on the Amex, it’s not accumulating points very fast. Would I be better off consolidating my points on CSR? Just read the 157 pg rule. Wage level bands are changed to 45th percentile, 62, 78 and 95 (from the current 17, 34, 50 and 67). Same percentiles will be used for GC PWD purposes - so a level 2 job in the new system will almost require the pay of level 4 in the old scale, employers will be discouraged from sponsoring GC. The document also includes very detailed rationale for the rule and underlying analysis being performed. IMO the WH seems to be well prepared for this one.

Laid off, H1-B, 60 days grace period - worst case, no new employer within 60 days, would you recommend going back to the home country and search for US opportunities from there and not waste money by filing B2 and living on own here?
