I never really thought about becoming CD. i always thought that I don't have talent for that. But now I'm starting to get used to the idea. How do I get prepared for the role?

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?

The tech job pays 15k more, but from what I can see will be a cluster and super long hours (has EU stakeholders). Maybe a pipe dream, but I want to have a "somewhat" decent wlb while still growing my career toward strategy and finance.
