If the next guy I date tries to steer most of our conversations towards “investing” I swear I will break up with him on the spot. I have a sneaky feeling most of the non-finance guys I dated only wanted markets / investing lessons from me 😭 it’s not like the playing field is level - they ask basic questions that tell me they don’t really get it. Eg inflation and central bank policy.

Hi All! Cross-posting this to the mom’s bowl, but I have a fabulous nanny in the Atlanta area that I will be sad to let go of in another few months. I have a vested interest in seeing her land an amazing family that will take care of her as well as she will take care of their children. She is young, vibrant, and creative - she shows tremendous initiative (she instituted her own lesson plans with our child at 1). She is very conscientious, respectful, and helpful to a fault. My house got egged and tped over the weekend. I took it upon myself to reach out to the parents and let them know I've already called the cops but wanted to reach out to you first before the cop shows up on your door. 1 set of parents immediately shifted blame to me and bashed me as a teacher and told me they think I have it out for their son and didn't address the situation at hand. How can I move forward with this situation?

I got ghosted after asking the guy too many probing questions via text. I guess I was starting to like him and scared of getting hurt. I was trying to figure out what happened with his past relationships. He said I was spending too much energy focusing on flaws, which is probably true. Going to take this as a lesson and keep it moving. I always try to analyze the other person, which I need to stop doing. Any words of encouragement?
