Thoughts on getting an Acura RDX? I’m DC based.
What’s the “sweet spot” of the used 911 market?
BMW X3, Infiniti QX50 or Lexus NX ??
Added a Bimmer to the fleet today
I had an x3 and now have a model 3. Love love the model 3. The handling, tech are so much better. The Cabin is about the same size. Cargo is a bit smaller on the 3. I would buy the lease on the bmw, sell for profit. Then get the tesla. If you hate it you will be able to sell for a profit and go back to a bmw or something else.

You will be very disappointed downgrading to a model 3. If you want to go electric, get a proper car.
Definitely not a downgrade.
Buy out the X3 and sell that for a profit (it’s almost certain - but you can check) then use that to pay down the Tesla.
Rising Star
Buy out the X3 if it has positive equity and keep both vehicles concurrently for a couple months. See which one better suits your lifestyle and sell the one that’s not a good fit.

This is actually a phenomenal idea. Keep both for about 2 months and then decide.
Teslas are out of style now
Update I got the Tesla and happy with it! Felt reassured knowing I could sell if I want and also $7+ gas in LA has made me feel much better about my decision
Thanks for this thread of info 🙏 my delivery is next month!
Congrats! Do you love it
Yes! It’s such a cool car and such a smooth drive. I still sort of miss the driving feeling of a BMW but the Tesla is totally different but equally cool experience. Also so many features in this car I’ve yet to figure out and learn so I’m excited about that as well!
Add: I’m single, no kids and actually really love my BMW (have always loved driving BMWs). But with gas prices skyrocketing in LA I felt a inclined to look into EVs. I know EVs are the future but just not sure if it makes the most sense right now. Open to any thoughts/suggestions.
I’ve got a broker that can hook you up with one
Depends how much money you bring in? Why is the SR costing $830/mo? Are you not putting any money down for the car? Auto loan rates are high now
Yeah that seems high for a standard 3
Folks on this tread mentioning Tesla is out of style clearly don’t own one. EV charging even at a supercharger will be ~$10 for SR (may be less than that). So don’t compare that with gas prices.
It really depends on what you want - do you enjoy driving a true mechanical car (BMW) vs Tesla is more technology and less of a car. Plus there is little to no depreciation (in fact you’ll make money) in owning an EV.
I charged my car from 30 to 100% a couple nights ago for $9 at a supercharger (SR model) and it was such a great feeling especially since the gas station across the street was $7.39 for a gallon of premium (which is what I had to fill with my BMW).

Charging will cost a lot if you don’t have a charging point at home. Super charger costs a lot and mileage with electric is worse than you really think
Not true. I have a long range and can charge to 300miles at a supercharger for 15$ that would be at least $50 in the gas car. And charging at home is more like $3-4. But really the electric is just part of the fun. The car is just such a joy to drive. It’s a joy to watch movies or listen to music. It’s so great on the highway with autosteer. The tech functions actually work unlike the terrible tech is basically every other car. I am actually in the market for a large suv for my wife and nothing even touches the tech and convenience of a tesla.
