I would grab a few sheets of computer paper, trace the outline of the envelope and see if you can match up the printing with the envelope. Once you have it aligned, do a test print on an envelope and check the results for satisfaction.
But if your printer can handle printing on an envelope, I’d think it’s fine.
I know there’s software designed to do this too but I can’t remember the name of it. I’ll update if I remember
Pay a calligrapher to address them
Yes, you’re in the right ballpark but potentially a bit higher. That is the “formal” way to go. You could also probably bring them to a local printer to inquire about having the addresses printed now.
Get a cricut. Also you can always do the actual invitation more formal

Did you order online? If not, whoever you went to should be able to print on them still.
I got mine pre addressed from minted and I know Zola does the same! So many different font/design options to choose from. Seems like a silly thing to worry about, but I hear ya! I got a surprising number of compliments on my envelopes by choosing a formal design through minted
Gotcha! We did magnets and used another website (simply to impress). They’re saying we have to purchase additional envelopes separately if we want the pre addressed ones. It’s my fault for jumping the gun!
Find a local stationer and they can address the envelopes. We were in the same boat as you. 160 envelopes cost us $200 to address, printed. Easily worth it.
Microsoft Word allows you to print on envelopes. You can set up an excel list with all the names, set up the template on Word (they already have predefined common envelope sizes), add your text block and run the mail merge. After that, just toss in your envelope on your printer (test it out first with a few envelopes) and it should print
I used clear labels so it looks like it was printed on the envelope. Avery labels- just make sure you get the right type for your printer at first order LaserJet but I don’t have that kind. I forgot the number but they came out beautiful
