1. Buy in blocks of >$1k to not get eaten alive by transaction fees
2. Buy > that 8 stocks to mitigate risk (not all eggs in 1 basket)
3. Buy companies that you would hold forever
4. Focus on fundamentals - micro / business health

5. Compare P/E (and other metrics) to peers and to industry. Higher P/E does not in it of itself mean it’s bad - it’s industry specific.
Example: Financial stocks tend to have lower P/E’s and Tech stocks tend to have higher P/E’s

Serious question, please answer objectively. Are your sales teams all a nightmare to work with? I think we all understand that sales teams can be pushy (it’s their job to be that way with clients), but I get consistent feedback from my operations teams that sales is aggressive and disrespectful.

Is it just my company or is it like this everywhere?

I am at 8th week and the nausea is real! Couldn’t tolerate any food smell from the kitchen. I hate all my favourite food now. Had been eating good amount of protein, vegetables and carbs each meal before pregnancy. Now I am only able to eat some carbs And strawberries and hate all the vegetables and protein. Coz of eating less, I feel exhausted and not doing any exercise. Will it change in second trimester? Is there anything I can do to feel better?

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. Inputs appreciated.

My sisters and I are in a very complicated family situation. We are currently looking to move our parents to the state I live in. This all would entail supporting them fully, financially. Any advice on how we could go about doing this? Would it be best to rent or get a condo for them? Any general advice would also be helpful.

I am also in the process of finding another job that pays a lot more so as to support this all.

Experts - just wanted to understand how prevalent is this. Since gift tax limit is $15K, do many people keep giving $15K as a gift per year per child to their children from birth in addition to estate. That way you give estate limits + 15K per year x no of children tax free.

I am getting a 18500 offer from insurance on my 2013 Honda CR-V that was recently considered total based on some frame damage. It has super low 63k miles.
Worth taking it in to carmax for an offer to see what I would get for it?
If I decide to keep and privately sell the car to carmax or someone else. the insurance offer would be 12500 (6k lesser)
Worry the effort?
Originally bought for 26k in 2013. Thx all.

Is there an average % of my salary I should be investing per month/year? Currently max out my 401k, Roth and HSA. Contribute $700/month to investment portfolio and ~3k a month towards a future down payment (expecting that 3k to transition to my monthly mortgage payment once I find a home). There’s usually about ~1k left over that I balance between savings and portfolio but didn’t know if there was one I should allocate more to? Will need to do backdoor Roth next year so can contribute more there
