I put my two weeks in at my job for several reasons, but now I am being harassed and made out to be “unproductive”. I want to quit early (before my two weeks), but can a company reach out to my new job and tell them I quit early? Is this considered job abandonment?

I would document the harassment as much as you can before you quit early. That way if your old job tries to sabotage you somewhere else, you have documentation about why you left early. Probably best to stick out the two weeks though, just in case.

Just keep your head down and your eye on the prize. You're almost out of there, and if anything, this just serves as final confirmation that you've made the right decision. Good luck!

Sometimes they do. Don't worry about it. Just hang in there. leaving that company might be your best decision.

You can do it. I really wouldn't worry about it. You have to do what is best for you.

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Does anyone do a high level check of all earnings less all major purchases cumulatively to see what it comes out to compared to what you actually have in liquid assets? Basically your own cash flow statement kinda? Is there an easy way to do this or a tool available? I’m contracting with a company in an admin role, but sometimes I’m asked to do projects that would normally be outsourced to a marketing or design company like designing a flyer for example. Hello HR folks. Overheard a conversation at work and am curious what is the norm.
If an employee goes out on FMLA, obviously the benefits person sends them the STD, FMLA paperwork etc. But is it the maagers responsibility to maintain communication with the person out on leave and to get a timeline on their return or would that be the benefits team? Or maybe the HRBP?

Boss has WFH for 9months. I have been WFH for 2-weeks for travel quarantine/state guidelines. She now requires that I go back to the office to “show face” that HR is right alongside the essential employees. I have been more productive from home vs the office. I get the perspective of team unity, but is it wrong to feel there is no reason to risk my health? The company justifies increasing my covid risk (high-risk already) to “show face”, when my job is being fulfilled while WFH. Am I crazy?

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.
