Tumi! Agree on the function. I had a Lo and Sons tote but found the Tumi backpack holds a lot more and is just as professional.
Could you link me to the Tumi backpack?

This! Love my OG

Code SPRING15 for 15% off should bring it down to ~$760, which I know is more than you budgeted but thought I’d share what I got pre COVID (& have only been able to use a handful of times 😅) I like that I can wear it as a backpack or a tote. Have received compliments every time I’ve used it.
Not gonna lie yeah but I don’t carry it long and when I travel, there’s a handle to attach to my carryon.
I usually carry it over my shoulders in the office and as a backpack when in the subway

My Tori Burch tote is awesome and fully functional. I only hate it doesn't zip or something at the top for rainy days.
Dagne dover allyn leather tote. I bought mine thanks to some recommendations on this app!

One thing I realized after a few years of working is that lots of bags look professional, but think about what provides the right function for your life
There’s so many great bags depending on your needs, I just got a great gym/work bag by AER

I’ve had this backpack for several years, and I love it. It looks professional but doesn’t have any flashy branding, although multiple people have asked me if it’s Tumi (which, sort of). I would personally feel a little weird bringing a really nice bag to a client site or cringe sliding an expensive bag on the dirty floor of a plane. It’s light weight, can fit a ton of stuff in it, easy to clean, and has a back strap to slide over a carry on.
