Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?

Contriversal topic but here it goes: I’m in-house a F100 and happen to be a white male (although I do have a fairly severe “invisible” disability). Progression to a management level attorney is quite difficult despite the relatively large. Recently the company announced DEI initiative that includes targets and goals for women and people of color (not applicable to other minorities). How do you deal with non-accepting family members? I don’t make it a thing, but I’ve been advised to take off my tie and change into more feminine clothing around them. I am okay with not discussing my personal life, but I don’t feel comfortable changing my dress. So I just don’t keep in contact with those relatives. A therapist told me that I am not secure in my gender identity if I am not willing to take off a tie and show compassion to a family member who would be upset by it? Am I selfish?

I sobbed for 3 hours today before giving a 30 minute presentation that I was perfectly prepared for and that went well. My diagnosed anxiety is too severe for this industry. I’m a high performer, Ivy League business school grad, with top competitor experience and I do good work, happily. But the intensity or high stakes or scrutiny involved with everything here wreaks havoc on my anxiety levels. The nerves are just so overwhelming. I thought I could manage this but sadly I can’t :/

When I joined another company after my departure, the partner from the project which fed into my decision me to leave D was stalking my LinkedIn profile. Now that I’m at McK he is still stalking my LinkedIn profile. Again, this person’s behavior played a significant role in my decision to depart D. Should I reach out to him in a friendly way to probe/see what he wants? is his behavior strange? He didn’t seem to care about me when I was @ D.
