I really like this look and thinking about buying but talk me out of it. Feel like IWC has so many different watches, there’s a surplus in store, it’s bronze not gold, and may not hold its value like Rolexes do. What do you think? Is it worth it.

Love this. If you like it so much and plan to wear it, why do you care about it keeping value or not? Pass it along to your kids and let them enjoy it. Nothing about this watch says that it’ll go out of fashion.

IWC are really cool, but I also hesitate pulling the trigger. I feel like they look too similar to cheap field watches.

I love IWC’s. I say do it.

I also love IWCs but when I tried this on it honestly felt a little cheap

Bronze feels very directional to me. I try to allocate my watch funds to things I’m confident I’ll be happy wearing in 10/20 years, not sure I could convince myself on the bronze. You’ll take a value hit for sure if you’re paying msrp. Buying secondary and buying more traditional iwc references is a better way to preserve value

It’s cool. As far as holding value it most definitely will not hold value like a Rolex.

it's only $254 per month! ;)

Love the IWC pilot s. But not a fan of this bronze, I like the white, stainless or even the new desert sand finishes

If you love it, go for it OP. Watches are all about romance, don’t think of it like an investment.

I personally won’t go for this as I feel it’s too tall (thick) for me.

I gots small wrists (usually top off with 39-40mm) watches but I love the moon watch and sea master. Is the dj36 my next best bet? Looking for a steel band

Two “watches for consultants” from my personal collection. Aka watches for people who travel. These lesser known watches offer a ton of features, and come in under $500 each. Yes, they’re not Rolex/GS/Omega GMTs, and some will call the dials “too busy” and truthfully I won’t wear them as much as I used to now that I have automatic luxury pieces, but I think they’re great value and great wear if you’re worrying about coming off as too pretentious. Hi, looking for some pointers. The most expensive watch I have bought so far is a Tag - Aqua Racer, from many years ago. I feel like getting a slightly nicer watch, and am researching the following:
1. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
2. Rolex Datejust
3. Grand Seiko - not narrowed to specific models

Price range: no more than 10K, but prefer to keep ~$6K. Like watches in the ~40mm size and not too many complications - i.e. more “elegant”

Would appreciate any guidance on how to think about options

What are your thoughts on the pricing of women's watches? I love both the octo and serpenti lines from Bulgari but think the octo offers more value for price. I get that if Bulgari made a movement for a 33mm serpenti case, it would be expensive. However what I don't get is how a little bit of gold can take a quartz watch & have it exceed the price of an automatic watch with one of the thinnest movements ever.
