I really want to get a puppy given WFH currently, but nervous about pulling the trigger given that we are likely returning to travel at some point in 2021. I’m single and live by myself, so worried about what the pups lifestyle would look like if I returned to travel 1-3 days a week (knowing that 3-days per week is certainly not fair to the dog).
Months from now when we still have to wear masks, can’t travel normally, and see regular deaths from COVID, remember who is to blame - Republicans.
Coast to coast (US) travelers: What are the less obvious things to consider? I have an offer for a good position that would require East to West travel three weeks a month.
Anyone know of any flight deals?
TWF an airplane boards, departs the gate, then the pilot comes on announcing a delay. The airline counts it as an on time departure while we enjoy the creature comforts or air travel.
What are the best companies and/or roles to travel internationally for work?
I want to have the option for international travel in a similar format to our standard domestic travel schedule. International rotation is not an option unfortunately
FWIW, I’m currently a Sr. Consultant in Cyber.
Any estate planning, tax, or family law attorneys who might be interested in lateraling you a mid-sized, full-service firm? Tax and EP can be anywhere in the country and remote. Family law would need to be in Maryland, DC, or northern VA and can be partially remote (as work allows for it).

Going to Cancun and debating Marriott properties, any thoughts on the Ritz Carlton or Westin Lagunamar Villas & Resort?
Has anyone worked for a CA firm while living in CA, then continue to work for that firm remote? I am inquiring re: the tax implications and if CA will still try/be able to collect taxes even when my address, etc. changes. Thanks!
I have ~900k ultimate rewards points and am hoping to use them to take my wife and <6 month old somewhere for a week before Xmas. Because of the baby/covid we’re not too keen in traditional hotels and/or anything that offers higher risk. I’m also sure most hotels wouldn’t want a young baby at their establishment anyway. Any point experts know how to use the UR points to book a house (like on Airbnb or VRBO) but still max that 1.5x benefit for booking travel with UR? Driving distance from nyc
People who want to be 100% remote forever....you really want to spend the rest of your life on Zoom?
Looking for a place my girlfriends and I can travel this fall (beach vacation). Late 20s. Not looking for drunk pool parties everyday but still a fun crowd/ good food&drinks. Resort recs? TY!
Can we work from home country while on H1? I know we can’t legally. But do they monitor?
Has anyone booked a cruise through Chase’s Sapphire Card portal phone number or for travel in general? Hoping the process is pretty simple

I just started back at biglaw a couple of weeks ago after clerking for two years directly out of law school. I am finding the transition really difficult. I felt prepared for the hours (although it’s not too bad yet so maybe I’m not), but there are so many other frustrations—the tight deadlines, depending on other associates (and feeling hamstrung by their constraints), and overall being bored by the work.
I know I need to get over these feelings if I’m to survive. Any tips?
Second year associate here. Recently moved to another job but having issues with paralegal. She’s been a paralegal for several years and is in law school at the moment. Every single thing I do on my cases, she is critiquing and telling me how she would’ve done it differently and what I need to change. I am appreciative for grammar checks, her help confirming research/case law, that sort of thing, but she’s doing 1000% more than that, even editing my arguments. What to do?
Need advice: I’ve been working for this client for 3 years and they are way too attached to me in like a clingy friend or parent way.
Dear Whoever made that Frontier “Speed Freaks” ad - the “whining” sound at the beginning sounds *just* like a toddler starting to cry. So much that it makes my neck clench up every time I hear it. Thx
I’ve been at my apartment for 2 months now and they haven’t charged me for water. Should I reach out to them or wait?
What are the signs of burnout in people you manage? How about for yourself? And…. how many people are just waiting for bonuses to be paid out in January before quitting/switching jobs?
Is this appropriate for elementary?
Eyeing some of the academic fellowships at the end of the 1st year. Can alum shed some light on difficulty to get a high GPA? Does Flex core vs. Fixed core matter?
Had phone intervs with Deloitte a month ago. DT recruiter said things went well and we're waiting on next steps. How long does it usually take for the next steps to come?
