Just ask Joe Rogan for a referral?

Does his YT channel have superchats? Because honestly if I could get a referral to Spotify from JR I might try to superchat him for it. Just for shits and giggles, even.

I think you should just try to network and get a referral rather than focus on resume styles

Apply to a role you believe that aligns with your technical and soft skills.

I think a lot of people have done this recently. Someone specifically did this to get into Spotify. I don’t think this gimmick will work any more since it’s been done. I recommend just connecting with some people at Spotify on LinkedIn who are in the role you’re interested in

like

What specific roles are you looking for?

I leveraged this person to revamp my entire resume. https://www.fiverr.com/s2/8c5d9d1536

I have gotten many request from companies since they updated my resume.

You could also reach out to someone of similar interest within Spotify via LinkedIn. If they have time, they may be willing to give you an informational interview if you ask for one. This is a great way to make connections and get your foot in the door.

Our firm is growing fast and we need to add another attorney to keep up with the work. Our compensation package is 20-30% higher than what others firms in our area are offering. However, I’m still finding it difficult to get qualified associate to even apply for the position. I think part of the problem may be because we are located in a mid-sized city rather than a major metro area. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to attract talent when you are a newer small firm in a mid-size market?

I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a remote Sr. Program Manager role. I took and passed the assessment and was moved to the hiring manager round which was scheduled for tomorrow. I got an email tonight saying that the Director of the group decided that the person must be in Seattle. I am in Austin, which is not an option. I’m disappointed! The recruiter will let me know if any remote roles come up but in the mean time, does anyone have any remote Amazon roles that they’d refer me to?

Joined a well-regarded ID/MedMal Defense firm (50+ attorneys) to start its commercial litigation group 10 years ago. Have had success in growing practice/group and bringing in good clients, but perception is reality, and being at an ID firm is a huge obstacle for getting commercial work. Anyone crack this code, turn an ID firm into “full service”? My best idea is to target 3-4 laterals with decent/modest books, make them great deals to come over, and market it as a rebrand.

2. Public School quality. Unsure private will be affordable.
