Thoughts on exiting MBB to revolut? Seems like culture there isn't great, but RSUs could make it worth it?
I’m a mid-level working in a niche area in NYC. I like the work I do, put in long hours, high quality work, take time to mentor juniors, etc. I see myself at a law firm long term but now wondering if this is the right firm to make partner. Among others, one big concern I have is the non-existent emphasis on diversity and inclusion initiatives (they aren’t even pretending to care...), no committees, no statements in support of POC, etc. How do I find firms really committed to these issues?
How do you improve your interviewing skills? I feel like I get moved and passed on arbitrarily, or maybe I perform better sometimes. Usually when I’m rejected, they can’t provide feedback so I’m lost
Just got a new job and feeling like the “diversity hire.” Everyone else is white or Indian and in the town halls they keep talking about upping Diversity and Inclusion targets to include more Female and Black/Latino individuals.
By close of eyes is not a reasonable time for any deliverable to be due. You work from home not 24/7. Let’s normalize standard working hours; if work isn’t done within eight to nine hours in day then it’s time for evaluate systems, if all those Zoom calls were necessary and staff utilization.
Can someone share the comp range for Cloud Solution Architect position at Microsoft? Looking for details on base, bonus, stocks and sign on. yoe - 12
Is the United Card worth it? Going to have status via match with SPG wondering if the card benefits are worth the annual fee.
Which big 4 company has the best retirement and insurance options? I work on the operations side and am considering a move where bcg does not have an office.
Had my on-site interviews before thanksgiving holiday. Recruiter updated early last week mentioning that all are already ooo and she will have an update when everyone is back this week. Literally nothing yet, thinking of emailing her on Friday? What do you suggest
Started a new remote entry level job with very minimal training. I am fresh out of school and thinking what is the best way for me to learn my role, duties, and tasks with no training and being remote. How will I succeed if in order to do the job I need to be trained.
I have questions for EY Tax technology and transformation team. I am getting promoted this year as a tax senior and thinking of switching firms. I do have a tech background (info sys/data science) with knowledge on basic programming languages which i am certain that i forgot most of them.. Will they still pick me up as a senior or would i have to go down as a staff level? Also curious about what they do & their compensation.
Hi Fishes, I have been offered consultant role by EY. HR in verbal communication told me about the salary structure as Fixed + Variable % + Joining Bonus . The offer letter mentions the Fixed and Joining Bonus but doesn't say anything about the Variable Portion. Is this okay or do I need to talk to HR about this? TIA
Are Zoom's privacy issues a threat to their growth or market performance? I think they could easily get this out of headlines, most people are too busy worrying about 'rona to push on this
PTSD from viewing the United incident... don't think I can travel next week. Need to WFH. Chances of that working with my PPED??
Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
