I recently decided to take a break from school for my mental health. I was pursuing my masters in healthcare admin UoP. Since I am taking a break I wonder if I should also look at what other schools have to offer or I should continue with the system/program I already know?
Got my Bachelors from Phoenix.

What are you thoughts? And where did you graduate from?

I would recommend assessing where graduates go or get employment from that program. Also, the capability of the career office with placement. A lot of people do Administrative Fellowships after getting an MHA but often are required to graduate from a HA credited program. This was my hiccup as I graduated from John Jay College with an MPA. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi all, I started this project 2 years ago called Wise Charlie (www.wisecharlie.com) which focuses on mental models and critical thinking.

In 2017/2018, I was contemplating going to grad school or starting a project. I decided on the latter. After not really doing much, I picked up on it this summer due to Covid. I now have 100+ customers and a few hundred newsletter subscribers. It’s been rewarding so far and have improved my own thinking.

Happy to answer any questions.

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

I have a Masters and 8+ years working in an external relations role in a hospital. I have since moved to the payor side. Would it be valuable to pursue another graduate degree (MPH or Dr PH) in order to advance in the payor world or would more education actually hurt my chances?
By advancement, I mean I would earn the degree and then try to find a job at a competitor. My leaders either don’t have graduate degrees or they don’t seem to value them.
