Hey guys .
I am looking for careers at Microsoft and I think I could apply to some of them, nevertheless, I would like to talk to someone (specially from human resources) since I have a couple of questions about location, if relocation is possible, I know Microsoft is not fully remote and... Some other things. Anyone can give me some information?
I work at an agency and am so burnt out by the entirety of what comes with agency life. But I feel immensely stuck when I try to think of what else to do. I don’t have a lot of contacts in-house at companies because my whole career has been agencies. Anyone happen to have insight? I could really use some help. Thanks ❤️
Got some freelance clients looking for more work and bigger projects. Anyone have any insight/advice/experience starting a small agency?
Has the bubble bursted?
Does anyone know what type of work the Partnership Solutions & GTM team at Google does? I had a recruiter reach out for a strategy and ops lead role on the team. I’m coming from tech consulting so trying to understand if this is something I should pursue.
Is there anything remotely sexy about E-Sports?
Started interviewing client side in JULY and they want me to do one last panel interview. But now it’s so close EOY and getting my 401k match pay out that I’m rethinking it given timing, esp since I would be taking a pay cut to work there. What’s the most you think you can push off a start date to a new job offer?
Hi! Is any ex-management consultant currently in investment team at a MF open to connecting and sharing his/her experience? Profile: international student currently studying STEM at UCLA/UMich/Cal with internship experience at BCG and will be joining Bain as AC post-grad. Happy to answer any questions from anyone. Thank you!
Using neutral zoom background image for interview - yay or nay (for Deloitte peeps, thinking one of the non-Deloitte branded office ones they provide)? My apt is super small and I don’t want to show that during interview
Discussion thread for those that have left for industry/plan to leave/want to leave:
- What was the defining moment that shaped the decision to actually leave versus considering leaving
- What was your rank/tenure in your role? What level and how long were you there?
- What activities did you engage in to ramp up your leave? I.e. networking, resume rebuilds, etc.
- What role did you exit to and why?
- What was your comp before you exited and post exit?
- Would you do it all again?
Up for an interview as Chief of Staff for a small (team of 6) hedge fund in SF. Any idea on salary range and bonus?
The further up the ladder I go the less work I actually do...
Yesterday maybe 2 hours of work and today maybe 3 hours of work...
Not counting about 3 hours of pointless meetings a day I net only about ~12-15 hours of work a week. The Joys of "Being a Leader"
I can't imagine how I used to do 60+ hours of work a week as a little cog in the machine.
Woke up craving the LAX Marriott rueben. Not even 8 AM and I already know it’s going to be a weird day
Hey! If anyone is looking for a job in RevOps/SalesOps in pre-IPO tech lmk! Hiring for a few roles that are East Coast remote and London remote; 1-2 YOE preferred. Feel free to reach out to me directly!
Which offer to take? Currently have two Bizops/Strategy roles lined up, one at Yelp and one at a Series E health care company valued close to $1B. Pay is close enough to not be a determining factor, which one would you take? Longer term goals are to learn and be "marketable" in the future so I can continue to do interesting work at interesting companies. Thanks
When I hear my friends in sales make more on one commission check than I do in a year, it really makes me question if I’m making the best professional use of my younger years. 😞
