1. Do all partners at same level pull same base salary? (Think two 3rd year partners at the same firm, and exclude variable pay) 2. How does this base pay differ at big 4 vs MBB?
Have those laid off this past year from the Big 4 had any luck landing new jobs? I had a great career but now can’t get the time of day. I am tired of faking enthusiasm that I lost months ago.
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Current senior graduating in December 21. Go to a complete non-target but have multiple experiences at well known companies/banks on my resume. Current intern at a very well known tech company in their consulting arm… but have had zero luck on applications. Denied by big 4 through the top 10 for entry level development programs, BA, and associate roles. Had great connections a year ago, but since, they’ve all moved to industry…. What would you do?
Is it only EY that people are extremely stressed, overwhelmed with lot of work and pressure? People are leaving every week and then existing teams are dumped with even more work. Is there similar situation with other Big 4?
Friends - Is any company hiring? Considering H1B transfer? I have total only 28 months left on my visa? Doesn’t look like the firm is going to sponsor green card. I have been performing well in my department no negative reviews in 4 years yet HR denied to file GC. Apparently they are only considering Managers for GC. Is this the same situation in Big 4 Audit? Please comment.
Attending Appalachian State University for athletic reasons as I played baseball here. Will finish my degree in Supply Chain Management in December. I want to break into consulting in the supply chain and operations sector in NYC. I would love to connect with anyone in Big 4 - Deloitte , KPMG, PwC, EY and MBB to get some insight on the college recruiting cycle coming up. Currently have a 3.81 GPA, family startup company experience, and restaurant industry experience.
Anyone jump from Big 4/boutique firms to an MBB without going the traditional M7 MBA route? If so, how
Can anyone share the salary range of a Tax Manager in B4 in Toronto Canada? I just want to have an idea before I decide to submit my application.
Is senior promotion automatic in big 4? How do you not get promoted to senior? Do you have to be really bad not to get promoted to senior?
Accenture AI, Big 4, and MBB which one is the best consulting company for Data Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer role? Thanks.
I will be joining EY India by next week, just need few suggestions. EY have offered me almost 225% hike on my current CTC but all is in fixed part no Variable or joining bonus they are ready to pay. Should I try asking for Joining Bonus as I have heard the BIG 4's pay minimum 1lakh joining bonus to lateral Hires. NOTE : I am just 2+ years of experience ! EY EY India
PwC On Fortunes list of 100 Best Companies to Work For!....and dead last of the big 4, which is not mentioned at all in the PwC Inside article
How important is it to get your CPA in the long run/ outside of big 4? Would CFE be beneficial? I’m a forensics staff.
Dear Colleagues, I could use your networking help please! I'm looking to connect w/ female Partners/MDs who work in the advisory practice of a Big 4 accounting firm (Deloitte/EY/KPMG/PwC). I'm pursuing a doctoral degree and interested in learning about women's career paths toward partnership. If you, or someone you know, is passionate about women's advancement in the Big 4 and are open to sharing personal reflections on career trajectory, I'd be grateful to have your input shape the study.
How do y’all control over analysis and rat race? Like when does it become enough? At some point B4 was a target, then realizing that being underpaid sucks when people at the same level are making way more the drive stars again. MBB being the next target and not possibly achieving that will be frustrating ? Like you guys think of it as marathon ? I mean some 29 year old at MBB might right now be AP making 600k while you are still at 90? Help a young lad figure balancing expectations out lol
Serious question: how difficult is it to get straight up fired from big 4? Outside the layoffs last year, I have personally never seen anyone let go for any reason. There's always some PIP or transferring projects or some long review process that never goes anywhere. Anyone have any insight or stories? Just looking for some perspective.
Anyone take CFE?
Has anyone got into industry to work at Cohen & Steers? How is work/life balance and culture like there? They are offering about a 15% TC increase but not sure if the atmosphere there will be worth the change. It’s a relatively small but prominent asset management firm. Thanks.
What's the environment and culture like at IRS? Trying to gauge whether I should jump from VA, which I would say sucks balls
When you are the only female in a big meeting and you literally have to raise your hand to say something because you don't want to talk over others.

Reached out to the head of Firm A (who I had a last-round interview with a few weeks ago) to say that I received an offer from Firm B but still want to work for them. The head said that I'm one of the top candidates and that they want to schedule more time to talk in detail tomorrow. What could this mean?
Received an offer from Deloitte GPS and will greatly appreciate you all feedback (especially if you have worked in both ) Current role: Tech Consultant /L9 / AFS Homegrown/Business Operations role Base: 97K, 4.5 years YOE Pros: good WLB, 401k 6% matching, 15% ESPP, good colleagues New offer: Base:120k /Tech Strategy and analytics senior consultant /No sign on bonus Pros: more base salary/strategy role Cons: more likely less WLB/more stress/ no 401k matching right away and no ESPP Thoughts?
Are there any Partner firms that will not be requiring vaccination for employment? Family has history of genetic heart disease issues and several family members are experiencing adverse health complications following vaccination. Deloitte implemented mandatory vaccination requirement for return to office with no health exemption mention. Not here to debate the merits of the vaccine, solely interested in whether this is expected to be a de-facto Partner firm requirement across the board soon.
Hyatt messed up and as a result offered me points for the inconvenience; that was two weeks ago, and I haven't seen the points being added to my account yet. How long should I wait before I follow up?
I never fly American and am about to next weekend. They don't have an Economy plus option? They're trying to charge me $35 for a "preferred location" but not more legroom??
Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.
Amazon seems to be hiring for a lot of accounting positions in the DMV area for their HQ2. Anyone have any opinions on the exit-ops, W/L balance, comparisons to B4/busy seasons, compensations etc.? Audit M1 here.
Does anyone know how/when bonus MQM's are given?? I googled on delta but just talks about the MQM's not the bonus you sometimes receive!
Applying for MBA programs in Fall 2021. When I matriculate I’ll have 7 years of healthcare consulting experience. Will this give me a competitive advantage when I apply and will I be among the oldest students by far?

Anybody else over working in the rat race altogether? I’ve jumped around a few times in the last 5 years, improving my comp and aligning more to my strengths and interests, yet I’m still unfulfilled. I’m pretty much doing exactly what the last 20 years of being in consulting has prepared me for: advising clients at the highest levels - and I’m bored. I’d love to leave and take up a more creative job, but of course, that doesn’t pay the bills - anybody think of, or actually made that transition?
C3.ai is hiring a ton and has some awesome comp packages. If you have the DS skills and okay with a long interview process hit me up. Made the switch not to long ago and honestly great product/team. DM if interested and I’ll connect you.
