I recently got a verbal offer from Salesforce for a senior architect role (level 8) in Toronto location. Base 200 CAD + 15% bonus + 94K RSU (vested over 4 years). Any suggestion if this is a good offer? I am not sure what are the salary range in Salesforce for L8 and in Canada, so would appreciate if someone in Salesforce in a similar role can opine.

I've 3 yoe experience, 1yr associate analyst, 2 years as riversand mdm, i want to branch out to other mdm tools, since they are more well known. But every job portal expects X years of experience for informatica mdm.

I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? Should I keep my new job or boomerang back to my old job? The new job pays 50K more base, 25K more bonus and I get 40K a year consulting for the old job so around 115K difference in cash (not counting equity).

So why even consider going back to the old job? The new job keeps me busy 12+ hours a day while the old job is a coast at 1-2 hours a day max.

My idea is not to enjoy the free time and sit on my *ss, but to figure out side gigs, passive income streams or even start a startup. (more)
