Hi everyone, I'm currently a BDR at SF for the french market. And I'm questioning my next steps. One of the two possible path ahead of me are:
- SmB AE
- Enterprise corporate sales ("Little AE" working in large account with a senior AE)
Which way seems to be more profitable for my next career plan ? (I'm a little bit tired of cold calling all day though.)
Should I stay at SF more few years or switch elsewhere ?
Thanks for your help ! Salesforce
Rule number 1. Never put in two weeks until it’s official. Sorry that you have to learn this the hard way
Well aware, however I was prompted with a Docusign and outlined next steps. I was fairly checked out of my previous role, so while not the end of the world for leaving there, this communication breakdown in companies should be discussed.
Sorry to hear that. Interview with other places and tell them that you have other offers. Refrain from disclosing that your past job offer was retracted. Things happen for a reason, and I'm sure you will get something good!
Sorry to hear this. Perhaps your previous employer would take you back on. This is a tough position to be in. Hope you're doing alright otherwise.
Hard to say really - somewhere between revenue and hiring managers and HR. So sorry. Regardless, very unprofessional of them.
Recruiting companies like Indeed have hiccups like these quite a bit. I remember working at Glassdoor we had random hiring freezes that were never explained to the sales staff, so I understand your frustration. I think it's fair for you to ask for someone to forecast when they anticipate the hiring pause will end
So I was told one Q and will reevaluate in Jan. No guarantee on offer however, would need to start over if/when roles reopen.
I wonder if there is any sort of breach of contract action since you already resigned from your last job and I doubt they'd be willing to take you back. Seems awfully unfair.
I don’t just rely on docusign as a confirmation of the formal acceptance of the offer. I send across the signed document, request for a confirmation of the agreement via email, and that I can move forward with the resignation process at my end. I also communicate with the HR exactly when I will be tendering my resignation. I keep them close mainly because of this reason but it’s two-ways. Companies rescind offers, and so do candidates. So we just do what we can.
