Exactly what a1 said. Not everyone lives on LinkedIn so just say something like, “I sent a note via LinkedIn but in case you don’t check it often, I wanted to thank you blah blah

like

Now I got a chance to get the email address after I sent the message on LinkedIn. Should I send another thank you note to the person’s email address?

like

No, I think one is sufficient. Maybe save emailing them directly for if you have any follow up questions or after the next interview?

like

No

I would send an email, the same body you sent in the LinkedIn. I don’t think that’s a bad thing. If you want, mention you sent a message on their LinkedIn before you got their email.

like

Yes. What if they don’t check LinkedIn periodically?

like

One is enough. Thank you notes do nothing to increase your chances but sending multiple may make you look desperate.

like

No, what P1 said. Think about the ceiling and floor of sending another thank you. There is clearly more downside and everyone checks their Linkedin now and then so should see it eventually.

A new career opportunity popped into my lap recently and I am planning to take it. I would be leaving public accounting for industry and part of me is thrilled and part of me is so sad. I will be getting a $15k salary increase, which is a huge motivator in me taking the position. I am also in tax currently and I just don’t know if I can do this forever. I’m a mom of young kids and tax season is incredibly hard. How do I not feel so guilty for leaving or if I’m making a bad decision?

Hi All, I would like to know which opportunity would be good for me. 8+ YoE in prime brokerage, collateral management. I currently have an offer with org. A, reputed company in IB with CTC 17.5L. Im looking at a potential opportunity for international mobility to Ireland with Org. B. Expecting the interview this week. I'm confused as to if I should continue with Org. A as it's the company I've always wanted to be a part of. Also personally have always wanted international opportunity.
