I recently joined a start up as well. Always been at big companies where I never feared losing my job or the company going under. However, I am learning way more than before and definitely feel that I wouldn’t have difficulty finding a new job if I were to start looking. Just keep grinding and try to get the most out of your position!

Just keep your options open. The hiring market is good right now, so if you need to jump ship, you should be fine - especially if you've got a new, higher-level position on your resume.

Maybe consider looking at the competitors to see if there are openings. You don't want to catch a falling knife 😅

Always keep one eye on the door imo, even when things are great. You should look at other job opps and peridioically apply, but I think D1 is right, it's about getting the most out of the position in the meanwhile

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

I really enjoy my AI/data science work at Deloitte and am 90% sure I’ll get sponsored to go in Fall 2023 (have 2+2 acceptance) but like everyone else I find MBB appealing for the work/people/brand/pay. Deloitte fishes - how does it look switching across sectors as a new experienced hire?
