I recently joined Deloitte and while going through work productivity benefits I found out that Interns and contract hires are not eligible for reimbursement of furniture. How do I find whether I am a full time employee or contractual?? Ps: my offer letter did not mention any such thing as intern or contract

A simple trick is to find yourself in Skype. If it says External, you are a CTH. But it says DC Analyst for you, doesn’t it? You are an FTE.

Big day today, everyone. Trump is signing that huge healthcare bill that he talked about with Chris Wallace two weeks ago that nobody on the Hill or in his administration mentioned for some reason. He'll do it despite the Senate being adjourned... and despite there having been no committee hearings on it. And no markup. And no debate. No cloture. Or, you know. He lied and Trump will just play golf today.

I had two interviews this week, both firms made an offer, the one I liked more came in with a lower offer, I’m trying to negotiate and know money isn’t everything but would you guys take the lower offer if you had a gut feeling you would just fit in better with them? Benefits for both firms are about the same and both are mid-size.

Interviewing at Kearney and BCG, but currently on maternity leave at Deloitte until mid-Oct. Should I tell the recruiters now that I would need a delayed start date or leave that to negotiations if I get an offer? Would happily start sooner but D’s policy says I need to wait 30 days after returning from mat leave or I might have to “pay back” the benefit.
