“39% of our new hires and 11% of our senior leaders are women.”@Mckinsey http://www.wsj.com/articles/for-a-company-to-achieve-gender-diversity-the-ceo-cant-do-it-alone-1443600381
The best private school (best on ranking) in my area is an all girls school (K-12). What’s the pros/cons of sending my daughter to an all girls school? My wife and I both grew up outside of the US and have not experienced single gender schools. Looking for any thoughts /personal experiences. Thanks!
Thoughts on applying to roles at FAANG that your qualified for but don’t see yourself doing long term just to get your foot in the door, then trying to pivot—anyone have experience doing this?
After being laid off for 5 months and applying to over 500 jobs, I finally received and accepted an offer today! 🎉
I'm in discussions for a tech strategy role with Accenture Middle East and a case interview appears to be the next step. Does anyone have any insight as to locations, what to expect from the case, member firm culture, expat life etc? I've never gotten this far for an international role.
Been on bench for 2 months now. Currently in the interview process in the industry. Senior leadership is looking for internal resources to staff on internal “COVID-19” related project. TBC
My interview for an internship lasted over an hour. Good or bad sign? It was more of a conversation than anything...
Bombed an interview for my dream job. I’m feeling so numb right now, and I can’t seem to process what just happened.
🐟 at sfdc. Why work at sfdc? I'm preparing for an interview and want to be ready for the "why are you interested in sfdc" question. (Cont.)
Is it normal for a recruiter to want to have a check in after an offer has been extended? I’m pretty exhausted at this point bc of the interview process. I just want to sit and think about the offer. Thoughts?
Is it unethical to be interviewing for a new job when you already have a job during a time when half of the US is unemployed?
In house interviews: I finished a final round of interviews and was expecting a final decision after the interviews. Rather than yes or no, the recruiter told me that the feedback is positive but they need to interview one more candidate to compare since I am the first one interviewed. And they wanted to add one more meeting with their new team member starting next week. Is this common and what’s the best way to deal with this unexpected message? Thanks!
Looking to connect with Schwarzman Scholars working at MBBOW or in PE. My background: Graduated a few years back, working in BCG back office. Have a significant amount of development sector experience, with a focus on financial inclusion and social inclusion. TIA!
How would you make the business case for adding more diversity to the workforce. I think we take it as a given that people will support this, but some people need to see $$ and #s to be moved.
Anyone a black inclusion network lead for D&I?
One of my favorite things about consulting is county of origin diversity. Can we do a quick poll here of various CoO represented. Put your flag and have the fellow nationals upvote!
For any POC creatives, have you ever had to explain to a recruiter why you're considered a diversity candidate? This was the first time I felt like I had to prove my diversity/minority background.
Recently transitioned to a startup and my confidence has skyrocketed. Presenting, interviewing, making my point heard are SO much easier when I’m working with colleagues and not clients who I feel don’t want me there. For those who struggle with confidence, there is hope!

There was a website someone mentioned on here, similar to Scott Flight Deals. Was a great website letting you pick dates and duration and it would recommend trips. Can't find it in my bookmarks. Help?
If I don’t hear back within a week after my interview, do I assume I didn’t get it or can I follow up without looking desperate?
Anyone with experience negotiating above the stated salary range? Job posting says 75-90k, assuming they offer at the higher end that’s less than 15% pay bump for me but I liked the company and the people I interviewed with.
I recently transitioned to wfh full-time, in house. Amazing gig - I’m not complaining - but I literally never have to wear suits or anything fancy. Coworkers wear t-shirts, rarely blouses. My background is litigation, so I’m used to wearing sweaters, cardigans, suits, dresses. I don’t want to be the only one wearing business casual outfits but I can’t bring myself to wear a tank top/t-shirt and sweats/leggings every day. Advice for what to wear to wfh now that I’m just dressing for me? (Cont.)
Why does everyone want to exit to strategy and operations at a tech firm? With 3 yoe is it expected for comp to drastically increase? I don’t see the gain
When your number 1 company gives you an interview right after you receive an offer from your number 2 company...has anyone encountered this? How do you push the date back?
Anyone know the salary for recorded future consultant within their intelligence services?
Had no idea how good my previous firm’s insurance was until I signed up for Deloitte’s.....
Any advice on not letting frustrations come out in an unproductive way over slack chats or other virtual programs, especially as we use these more and more instead of direct discussions?
Offered a VP level PM role at digitas- but was told it has a hard cap at 135k— that can’t be true right? Were they lowballing me? I passed.
Does anyone else find it difficult to ask for time off? I haven’t taken a “vacation day” since February, billed 185+ hour months consistently through the pandemic (exceeded hours for 2020 bonus eligibility), and am feeling pretty burnt out. It’s hard because other associates in my department haven’t really taken any time off either (or it has been a day or two sporadically). Would really love to take some days over Christmas to recharge but I’m nervous about perception.
Prestige or 30% better take home salary?
Anyone aware of a Delta fast track I could sign up for? Not a status match, just a from scratch fast track. Know they have done this in the past often aimed at specific companies. Thanks :)
