What about Partner B?
I work with other partners but mainly with Partner A. There does not seem to be an easy way to drop all of my clients with Partner A so I think I will either change my department or resign!
Anyway you can talk to partner A and set proper boundaries and expectations? You need the partner but that partner needs you too...
If I end up staying with my team, I definitely need to speak with Partner A. He will get offended for sure but it is what it is. The micromanagement is killing me. His review questions usually are not clear, irrelevant or not material. For example, we are advising client for a $50m tax transaction and he is holding back the draft deliverables for $50k potential tax exposure that was not mentioned in the draft deliverables. Client wants the draft asap and is okay for us to make further changes in the final document but his answer is "no, I am not ready to send this to client". He clearly does not get it. Our advise mus be accurate bit it should also be timely. I am so upset that I need to go back to my client and say that we cant send the first draft. This ruins my relationship with my clients.
Damn so frustrating
