Happy to have just received my promotion to senior manager after a very challenging year, backed by an even more challenging year prior. I've got my own beliefs what a senior manager does, or should do. I'm keen to hear transition challenges others have gone through when becoming a senior manager.

Currently a 1.5 year tenure Consultant in Deloitte GPS RFA. Just received an offer from Guidehouse for $82K, a $16K salary boost from what I make currently. I am not up for a promotion to SC at this point. I've also heard Deloitte benefits are better, but would anyone have opinions on whether I should take the job?
Joined EY TAS mid-Feb as staff 2 (had 1.5 yoe before in audit). With the October promotion now pushed earlier to August, am I still eligible to be considered for that promotion batch? I understand that I'll finish cycle 3 FY22 evaluation in May and maybe half of cycle 1 FY23 in July... Just not sure how the timing works. Also any advice on how to bring this up to the partners would be much appreciated! EY
I am 1 of 19 Designers at a mid sized firm out of NYC. All Designers on the team except for me are only allocated to 1 client project. I’m currently allocated at 125% of my time and on 3 client projects. I haven’t gotten a raise in the year I’ve been with the company and I haven’t been promoted when I applied for one and keep getting the run around. Any advise?

Hallo 🐠 got a promotion and transfer opportunity to move to Amsterdam from the US (I’m in the industry). Looking for inputs on best neighborhoods to rent a place! I’m moving with my fiancé and we are in our late 20s
I switched 2 companies and respectively I had 2 PF accounts. And the amount from all of these accounts is successfully transferred to my current PF account. But the problem is, in one of my previous PF account there is still some amount remaining. Seems like it got added post I raised my tra sfer request. As online I guess we can only raise a single request for amount transfer to current PF account which I already did. Can someon please help me with the to transfer that remaining amount. TIA
What kind of raise would one expect on a normal year, assuming at one performed in the top half or second quartile? Has to be inflation-beating i suppose, but don't have a benchmark since this is my first year.
Starting soon at McK as an undergraduate hire, is it normal/inoffensive to state to my DLG that I’d be interested in pursuing relatively expeditious promotion timelines and am willing to do the work to achieve that goal? Or will it come off as arrogant/foolhardy (happy to hear from all MBB because I am guessing it might be similar)?McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
Need advice: I just joined a pharma company <1 year ago with a promotion likely in 1 yr. I’m in a commercial role at the TA level, making 250k. However, I just got an offer to join a different company’s medical affairs team, with >400k TC. Is the career trajectory of commercial worth making less money?
While the corporate world typically slows it's hiring down in the first quarter of the year, franchisors are looking for talented individuals to turn their employee status into ownership status. Many will take that year end bonus and utilize it to pay their franchise fee and begin their venture into becoming their own boss. Others will be frustrated by no year end bonus or raise. Wondering what to do next. There are franchise opportunities for most everyone. Let's chat!
Confirmed! Promotion from Specialist to Manager. Any thoughts on what to expect for raise?

Any general advice on how to go about telling your team/manager you’re leaving the firm for another job? Anything else I should do prior to hitting the button? First time leaving one job for another, so would greatly appreciate any helpful advice!
I don't think AI will leave us jobless. I just think there will be a proliferation of bullshit jobs while AI does the heavy lifting. Or something like that.
Time to stop leaving Honolulu out of the T1 city discussion! Also, the pic of SF really sells it...
Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common? I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case. Thanks for any perspectives.
Spacs to this point have been the easiest money you could make. Beware of 2021 As i feel even the top spacs get some pressure. Stick with good management and companies.
Any experience with a consultant-banker relationship? If I'm away most of the week and his weekends aren't totally free, what's your advice on making it work?
I am going to interview for Microsoft for support engineering manager role. Is there someone who can guide me for the interview process. They did share a sheet for competency. I don’t know much and I don’t want to miss the chance. Microsoft
Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system. So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?
Hey guys -4 YOE (currently a freshman) with an offer from Google for 400k + equity. Should I take it?? Not sure. Also definitely not humble bragging just curious!
