I recently switch orgs internally & found out that I was under compensated in my previous role. I’ve been promoted three times & have been always recognized as a high performer. My previous role had a title change to mgr and the pay was much more than mine. As well as new hires in the entry level roles were getting offers close to my salary. The entire team got a pay adjustment and I did not. I asked for a pay adjustment with what I knew but even that was still much less. Now I feel burnt out…

This is very common in old school organisations or if you have been with the same company for a bit. Unfortunately the HR don’t do a good of talking these point through with hiring manager. If you choose to talk to your manager present to them the industry standard for this role.

Sometimes this works and other or don’t. My suggestion would be negotiate with them and see what you can get out of it.

Hi PO1. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post!

Hello,

Looking for advice. I'm currently making 80k CAD Salary in my position. When I was hired I was originally told that I was going to be there to bring best practices and enterprise level processes to the company as they were severely lacking any structure for their product development. It's a fairly small team and since then I've pretty much been doing the job of Project Manager, Product Manager, Managing the Developers and more that was not in the JD. Should I ask for more money?
