I recently visited for the first time the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the stadium of the world-famous Real Madrid team, and despite being a physical engineer, I can not help but recognize that civil engineers are magicians, my congratulations to them.

The stadiums are spectacular expressions of culture since in the World Cups stadiums are made with designs that represent a country or something from the country, all the imagination began to fly.

It is that the stadium is wonderful, I had the opportunity to go to several stadiums in Spain, and the Bernabeu together with Camp Nou was the best of all, a total spectacle, also the atmosphere in the stadium is great, and to emphasize they are stadiums with more than 50 years of being built.

I had the opportunity to attend the first game of the world cup, the stadium represents exactly what the country is, it's amazing what you can get on the streets and also inside a stadium, my congratulations to the civil engineers and architects involved in this perfect thing they call it a stadium.

It is that they make works of art, the dirty Bernabeu shows you the adaptability with which the stadium was built in its beginnings, which speaks of not only making a stadium but also building something that was going to become the world temple of soccer, and of course, the temple of soccer has to have the capacity to grow and act without losing its essence, that's what they achieved when they built it and now when they acted on it.

I believe that the union of civil engineers with architects and a certain freedom of design is capable of making magic, that is what those great football stadiums transmit to you.

If you can also visit the Signal Iduna park, which is in Germany, just like Wembley stadium, in Wembley I totally recommend it, its structure is magnificent.

3 tips I always give to first-time home sellers that make my work easier:

1. Try professional photos. You have one chance to impress possible buyers. Use it wisely.
2. Be flexible with home showings. Maybe your possible buyers won't appreciate your house's potential if there are dogs running around or too many people inside.
3. Respond promptly to a purchase offer. Some people don't have much time to wait for an answer. Be quick and responsive!

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
