I recently went on disability leave and my boss Auto forwarded my emails to my coworker. I have plenty of emails that I need to access that have to do with my getting appointed with the carriers and policies that I have signed for groups.. How do I approach this ? I am upset that he didn’t even tell me. Didn’t clarify weather it’s a standard thing or not so as to ease my mind, etc. NOTHING! Jerk doesn’t care about my success

I realize it's frustrating, but the thing is, you really don't get the luxury of an expectation of privacy with work email. And if you are out on disability, I assume it's for an extended period of time. It would make sense to have your emails forwarded to a colleague. I do think your boss should have told you, though.

I care more about receiving my emails than privacy. There’s nothing really private in there. I just wanna make sure that those emails get to me that are regarding my appointment or my clients.

When you are out on disability, your access to email and any other company systems has to be turned off. You’re also not permitted to attend company events until you are cleared by a doctor to return to work. Pretty much anything work related is off limits.

This would be true in some companies. But based on my experience, they don't automatically disable my access. There might be some internal policy regarding this in your company, OP. If none, then you should talk to your boss.

I was working at a Hotel one night & I saw a man appearing on two different floors, then in the stairwell. The man was in his 70’s or 80’s. He was wearing nothing but tidy whiteys. When he got to the front desk I asked “is everything alright? Are you okay?” (Assuming he may be senile),He wasn’t senile, he went swimming & wanted to make me uncomfortable and started to flirt while in his sopping wet see through tidy whiteys- and of course I had to clean up the water he tracked through the lobby.

Ladies, please help. I’m interviewing for a VP role at a major entertainment company in a few weeks and I am stumped on what to wear. This is the final round, so I definitely need a pantsuit or blazer+dress combo; but am looking for sleek/modern styling that doesn’t make me look like a boxy, old grandparent. I’ve tried Theory, Reiss and Boss but the color palettes are starting to stray from black and navy.

Any recos for contemporary suit/separate brands and where I can buy them? Help!!

My co-founder (the CTO) started out strong during our first two years. Then he started backing away despite being still needed. He is almost completely absent now. When he’s not on vacation, which is often, then he might spend half an hour a day answering messages. I’ve spoken about it to him many times and he just gets defensive about doing work I don’t see. How do you deal with an absent co-founder?

most of what I bring up in these meetings are logistical or prioritization concerns but I feel like my manager is expecting a lot more from me.

The combination of startup+medical device+NPI seems very unique and I'm struggling to find salary comparables. Currently making 75k but it feels very low given my new responsibility and impact. Any advice?

Yesterday was a good day. I was really impressed with myself. I woke up at 5, practiced dance lessons, did two water colors, made breakfast and tea, got to work by 10, put in 8-10 hours of solid work and then came home. It’s been ages since I painted or danced.
However today, I slept till 7:00, did not work out or have food. Still got to work by 10 and did 8 solid hours of work.
Some days are good and some are just okay. And that is okay. Trying to build on my good days and we all can. :)
