Oh that’s nice of them lol. Most recruiters will ghost you if you didn’t get chosen for the next round lol. That said, some of them may actually be invested in placing you (i.e they see potential in placing you eventually/something external happened that resulted in you not getting the offer). Seems like you found a good person. Stick with him/her. The pro with them is they take all the admin tasks of coordinating with employers, etc. you basically just have to interview and sign the offer letter. They have incentive to get you as much $$$ as possible as that’s how they’re compensated. Con is they will ghost you if you’re not marketable/weaker profile/ don’t get through the next rounds.

Yep exactly. Something external was the reason they went with someone else and it’s not because you’re not marketable. I say stick with them. But having 2/3 external recruiting firms looking for you isn’t a bad idea either. You can have as many recruiters as you want

I’m a Product Manager who wants to change careers. What is a job where I can work independently and am more task oriented? Meaning I want to know what I have to do for the day, and I can knock it out at my own pace. Maybe it’s COVID, but I’m sick of meetings with other people and simply want to be the owner of the outcome instead of being dependent on other departments/people. Obviously bonus points if it’s a sensible transition from a PM!
