Sounds unusual. But recruiters are coming up with creative ways these days to avoid the chance of negotiations using offers from other companies. One should refrain from signing any legal documents before joining an org IMO. Do some due diligence if the offer is too good to pass. Otherwise I suggest to pass on this one. You ll get many more opportunities I m sure.

Ask for an agreement that after two months it is a job confirmation that they’ll hire you and also mention the compensation for the 2 months if they don’t hire you again!
