My SO and I make $250k+ on our bases salaries, no children, & we made 80k in bonuses last year. I’m only 5 years out of college and we live in a MCOL. My friends and even family are always telling me how successful I am and proud they are of me. I feel so weird. I never know how to respond. I’m the same normal person and anybody can do what I do with enough hard work. Does that happen to you? Is it bc I’m a career driven woman? How do you respond to remarks like that? Cont...

Anyone based in Western Europe in this bowl?
Reading about one of Ghengis Khan's advisors and this paragraph describing him made me think of East Asian traits and why we may have a hard time breaking into leadership. If someone is great at being staff or a low level manager and not at shaking things up in ways that drive innovation and growth then why would anyone want to give that person more responsibility?
If anyone's curious:

Hello! Does anyone know what the current salary range is for a Senior Director of Fund Accounting at Juniper Square? I was asked during a phone screen and gave a number but was then told that they don't have a Canadian comp. structure yet. Just trying to figure out what expectations should be.
Not a question but very discouraged. I asked for a 20% raise and they came back with “ and all of my years at (won’t disclose yet) I have never seen a 20% increase approved”. I’m thinking well can you ask for fuck sake… ugh so over this.

Just recently given an offer within my own department, new role created just for me , base salary is def an improvement from my old salary. I decided to negotiate other stuff. But now I feel bad. Why is it as a women, and never being given the chance to negotiate before, I feel bad now asking for what I think I’m worth. I’ve been loyal to my company for over 15 years and gotten the shaft, and now that this has come up and seems like a good offer, I feel like I owe it to my self to negotiate.
Has anyone negotiated relocation costs? How did that go for you and what was the process like?
Mentioned to my boss this week that I had reached burnout & that I was beginning to consider my options. I have received offers recently 50K above what I make now & communicated that. On Friday they said their boss would be touching base with me next week. I am in above average standing with the company & received a good annual raise earlier this year. The issue is I took the job below my market value to get out of a much worse job 2 years ago. Realistic outcomes for my upcoming meeting?

I have a review coming up… I have been doing my research about Salaries and my current role. I have found that I am actually being severely underpaid. What is the best way to approach this with my manager and how to ask for more money without being rude?
How do I ask for a raise or promotion? I came on to a newly developed HR team. Took on more responsibilities than originally described (which is great, I’m learning and growing) and I’ve been an essential contributor to improving our department and processes and exceed expectations. Do I need to list out everything? My boss already knows what I bring to the table. I don’t want to be ungrateful for the job I have, I just could potentially be making more.

I was initially offered $110k+10% annual bonus.
