I saw the AA video of the woman/ baby vs flight attendant, and I don't get it. What happened? Is it really that bad?

I found some more details. Honestly, I think the woman is in the wrong. She can't bring a stroller on board, let alone a double wide stroller, and was told so by flight attendants. She tried to bring it on the plane anyway. She's not special -- she doesn't get to break the rules. Obviously, the flight attendant should've been less confrontational and handled the situation in a more calm manner.

I think she had been told she could bring the stroller on board by the female FA, and then the male FA had wrestled it off her in the cabin, inadvertently struck her, and taken it off. She was on a connection from Argentina, likely pretty tired, and had two infants (likely a little stressed). That built up to what you see in the video.....

I don't think it was a flight attendant. I think it was a ramp worker. Flight attendants can't leave the aircraft with passengers on board.

I thought that too, then read reports that he had been allowed to fly following the pax's removal from the flight (she flew on the next flight, with a comp u/g).

If he was a ramp worker / GA - then I don't get how the female FA would have spoken to the pax (allowing the stroller) ahead of the GAz

-z

Aha....

I agree she shouldn't have tried with the stroller - but does appear one of the FAs gave her permission to have a try. If she was from S America then heck I've seen golf bags, skis and other large items brought on board, so I could see ignorance being a part of it.

In any event, the employee was way out of line it would appear, we weren't there and I'm sure if we were we'd have a better informed opinion! AA do appear to have addressed the PR on this though.

@A1 fair points. Yes, I'm relieved they were much better about addressing this than United.

Anyone know much about routers? She hasn’t announced her pregnancy yet so can’t escalate to anyone either.
