It’s called the Great Resignation for a reason.. clearly not a company market

I have worked on a couple of job/role architecture refresh initiatives where position requirements were being defined or redefined. While scarcity of talent is a consideration I would say that a bigger factor is DEI. If you want to hire a diverse workforce having a long list of strict requirements can make things a lot more challenging.

like

I have some serious doubts that DEI is working. Instead of hiring based on meritocracy they just want to fill some checkmarks for race , gender and now sexual orientation. This is somehow working against the dominant white male majority for most IT companies

Hello All, I’m new to this platform. Just wanted to have an idea. I was interviewed for contracting position at cognizant and cleared all the rounds but I dint hear back anything from them. Will this mean that they ghosted or will I get the feedback ? It’s been more than 3 weeks. Anybody who has been in this situation where you waited for the feedback or moved on rather than waiting?

Give notice or ask to renegotiate? Recently interviewed for a comparable role and received an offer of ~16% higher than current comp. I enjoy my role, but the new company seems to have better career progression opportunities. Do I just give notice and expect them to attempt to retain, or do I go in asking to more comp to stay?
