I signed a new lease in a management apartment building 2 months ago. My rent on paper is $3000. I logged into rentcafe yesterday and the building manager seems to have logged in my rent as $2700. I am not sure if it is a mistake and if I should notify her. The $300 bonus a month does sound nice but also don’t want to get into trouble? Thoughts?

Are managers at Forvis really making $220k a year? I was with BKD for quite some time and felt quite underpayed. Would have been up for the manager promotion this October, and now I am seeing on Glassdoor than manager comp averages $118k base and $102k additional for a total comp of $220. I jumped ship over a year ago and nearly doubled my salary to move into consulting, and I have been recently promoted to manager and have what I feel is an adequate salary ($150k as a first year manager LCOL)

Weird rant. I really hate the franchise dealership system we have for cars. The fact that I can’t just go to Chevy’s web page and order a corvette for MSRP and have it delivered/pick it up id absurd. I really hate that I have to check 12 different dealerships to see if I got the best pricing, and also that they’re allowed to tack on a ~20-30% “market adjustment”.

How much does someone’s taste in movies reflect their beliefs as a person? I find myself quick to judge people if they profess to liking a certain type of movie. I’m seeing someone with radically different taste in movies than mine and I’m worried if that means they won’t respect me as a F 🐠. (Let’s just say the US is not my country of origin or his, and I don’t like movies from my home country because 9/10 show women as victims needing to be rescued by men, but he likes those movies a lot).

I'll see girls I think are gorgeous get ripped apart (men will say they're ugly). But I'll also see girls I didn't think were that attractive have guys thirst over them that don't show interest in me.

They send back a message and I just look and it and let it sit there. Idk what’s wrong with me. I want to go on dates but thinking about the whole “talk phase” is really off putting. I met up with someone on the apps a year ago and became friends for a while before I ended it because I was overwhelmed with life. I don’t want to redo this again. Dating is so hard 🥹
