What’s the most strategic exit you can make when getting a new job? I want to roll off my project and just say I am looking for a new project and just never take a new one... (sounds terrible I know) My current project contract is about to be over and a lot of people are using it as an opportunity to roll off even though they’re prolly gonna renew it. Start date for my new job is negotiable so I really want to collect as many checks and stack PTO as much as I can. Deloitte Accenture EY PwC Boston Consulting Group Accenture

Were I on the bench I'd get my a$$ into the office and set a goal to meet three new people, schedule lunches for the entire week with peers at former clients and offer to proof another team's deliverables. But that's just me.

Oh god. I come into the office and stalk projects in our internal system.

Lazy is a word. Apply for jobs? Tuh. Who does that? Don't you get recruited by friends and former associates or clients into opportunities because they know you and know you can get it done?
