Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

How do you deal with extremely nosy coworkers?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Ask your boss. You’ll get a circle jerk answer here.
You will get a feel for it based on what others are doing as well and they might tell you on the first day you start. I wouldn’t worry too much and I’m sure they log off at normal times- prob 5 PM / 5:30 PM
Yeah i will definitely ask the first day!

In industry, there is usually a permission slip that must be signed by your boss every day before you sign off. Just ask your boss where you could download it.
But I can’t fill it out, I didn’t get my pen license 🖊
Clearly there some miserable ppl that need to make a sarcastic comment about EVERYTHING. Maybe JUST MAYBE I’m over working 80 hour weeks and trying to do everything I can to not fall in that trap again.

Take it easy OP, there was one single response that was sarcastic in the whole thread (besides your rebuttal about them needing a babysitter.) You’re going to industry! Celebrate! 👍
Just ask what your manager’s expectations are in terms of hours on your first day. Are they flexible? Do you have to be online at certain times?
Thanks!! During my interview process hours were extremely important to me so i made sure to ask HR as well as the hiring manager and they both pretty much said we’d be working standard hours but I’m scared that’s not completely true lol maybe public accounting has truly scarred me. Overall though I have heard that the grass is greener so I hope that is the case for me as well.
Log off at 5:30? You’ll be the only one there after 5:00 and 2 or 3 on Friday.
True !
Hi, I moved to industry from PA. The person you report to will usually tell you the work hours and other expectations. My boss discussed that with me on my first day. Maybe he was very informative upfront, but I remember he telling me the time people usually login (or show up to work) and until what time you need to be in the office (or log off if you are wfh). It wouldn’t hurt to ask if he/she doesn’t bring that up on your first day.
All I know is that you will enjoy your new schedule. Congrats on moving to industry.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the response
I use Skype/teams/email status to see if people are online. If everyone is off, you are good to go!
Use your intuition after observing what others consider the norm. Don’t get too wrapped up in this either - better to ask for forgiveness than permission, and as long as you get your work done on time/don’t drop the ball, you’re golden! Good luck & go get em OP
