You're fine. The loudest voices in this forum are the discontented minority. Have a great first year. Do good work. Get known for it. Have a kickass career.
WELCOME TO HELL OP HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
@D1 don't promise shit you can't deliver.
As for OP: you're in for a ride. Hold on tight and do good work. You will meet some of your best friends here. You will meet some of the nastiest people to work for/with here. Remember that this is just a job at the end of the day. Your relationships with your friends and family always come first. Above all remember that the firm is indifferent towards you, but in general the people that work here do care about you and want you to succeed. Welcome to the family and best of luck with your career here-wherever it may take you.
Dude- welcome to Deloitte. Campus hires are protected entities in any company at least for 4 years
Lol associate 1, at least 4 new hires from USC in LA were cut this year at PwC. Yes networking is important, but at the end of the day, nobody actually cares about you as much as you think they do. OP, I didn't hear about any new hires getting cut at Deloitte and Deloitte also handled their layoffs better in general
Don't trust all posts verbatim. Every industry has inside jokes which come up vividly over here
It depends. What campus did you come from?
You'll be fine, @OP. HC is doing fine. Plus, you'd have to royally screw up to be fired as a campus hire analyst.
Yeah, in all seriousness you'll be fine. Im a C in HC OTT...ill make sure you're good to go, OP
In Chicago ^
Dead man walking
Associate is not a job title in Deloitte Consulting... Assuming Ass1 is Advisory. Totally separate part of the firm.
@OP. Most likely you'll be fine. Try to be utilized ~95%, work SUPER HARD and expand your network. Also, it's all about the attitude!
A1 NYU starting in Chicago office
NYU is a solid school. Most of the time you're safe unless you're in a rapidly downsizing group. Network with other alums, it'll keep you safe. Works for USC in LA at least.
I'm HC OTT, any insight?
W4 rocks
@OP OTT had a great year, don't sweat it.
Dude, I've heard of 1st year campus hires getting canned after only 3 months
Three Deloitte 1st year BAs got let go in the layoffs this year. Ask around.
