Employment Standards Act for Ontario
https://www.ontario.ca/document/your-guide-employment-standards-act-0
Use resources cited above and good old Wikipedia to gain a basic understanding of Canadian law/legal systems. Understand “employment law” up there includes “employment” but also “Human Rights”, “Indigenous Peoples” and “First Nations” laws. Realize that employment there is much more controlled by statue than typical US employment (e.g. termination rights, leave/vacation rights, etc.) but also dependent upon “common law” as developed by court and “tribunal” precedent.
I would take a look at the official government website for a general overview of most policies, available here, to start :https://www.canada.ca/en/services/business/permits/federallyregulatedbusinessactivities/humanresourcesregulations.html
Go to Toronto's government website. They should have most of the information that you need. You may also be able to go to your local court and get public documents.
You can check multiple reliable sites so you can double check their accuracy with the official government website as your main source. Here's another link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/learn-about-canada/laws.html
You're welcome! Glad to be of help.
