Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

Tbh I think the in-house salary guides are accurate outside of FAANG. I like robert half because it easy to sort by YOE and location

I would think the salary reports from ACC are probably more on point than somewhere like Glassdoor. But, if you just started I think it would be difficult to renegotiate comp significantly now?
Salary reports (not Glassdoor/PayScale) tend to be accurate outside of FAANG. But in-house comp is so geographic, industry, practice specific there can be lots of variance.
In my experience, Glassdoor and PayScale are a bit imprecise. I’ve also never found the salary guides circulated frequently on this thread to be terribly helpful. So much variance in in-house comp depending on size, expertise, role, industry, location, etc. I think the more important issue for you is one of timing. If you just started this gig, I don’t know what grounds you would have to revisit a compensation package that you just agreed to.
What’s your YOE?
Why do you think you are being underpaid? Do you have new information or are the circumstances different from what you thought when you were hired? Unless one of those things is true, I don’t think you should try to renegotiate salary until you’ve been there at least a year and then only if you are getting glowing performance reviews.
